A wedding far from home.
Lindsay and Yoann are a beautiful couple in their forties, deeply connected by their faith and surrounded by the people who matter most to them.
They chose Marrakech for an intimate celebration of fewer than 50 guests — family and very close friends gathered together in one of the most beautiful settings Morocco has to offer.
There was something particularly special about being part of a wedding like this. A deeply meaningful Christian ceremony, surrounded by the beauty and atmosphere of Morocco, with a small circle of loved ones gathered together to celebrate their union.
For me, it was a real honour to be there and document it.
About 20 to 30 minutes from the centre of Marrakech, Jardins d’Issil is a peaceful five-hectare estate surrounded by the Moroccan countryside.
The property has a very distinctive Moroccan character, with beautifully decorated spaces, traditional details and elegant mouldings throughout. Around the central pool, individual lodges create a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, each with spacious rooms and private terraces.
And then there is the view.
When the sky is clear, the Atlas Mountains appear beyond the gardens and the pool — a spectacular backdrop that gives the estate an unmistakable sense of place.
A little away from the city, and all the better for it.
